2021 Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship Program

The Community Foundation of Randolph County will begin accepting applications online for the 2021 Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship Program beginning August 13. The scholarship is open to Indiana residents, with a grade point average of 3.7 or higher, who will graduate from an accredited Randolph County high school by 2021, and receive their diploma no later than June 30, 2021. Additional details related to conditions of the award, eligibility, and selection criteria are available on the Community Foundation’s website at randolphcountyfoundation.org. The deadline to apply is September 8, 2020.

The program provides scholarships for otherwise unreimbursed full-tuition, required fees, and a special allocation of up to $900 per year for required books and required equipment for four years of undergraduate study on a full-time basis leading to a baccalaureate degree at any Indiana public or private nonprofit college or university accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The Community Foundation will nominate one student to receive the scholarship.

The 2021 Randolph County Lilly Endowment Community Scholar will be named in mid-December.

Since the program was first introduced in 1998, the Lilly Endowment has remained steadfast in its belief that education at all levels is indispensable to the personal, civic , and economic well-being of Indiana residents and communities.

In addition to the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship, the Community Foundation administers other scholarships to support post-secondary education.  Community-minded donors established the 68 scholarship funds and set the criteria for the awards. Scholarships are awarded to students participating in a variety of activities, with a wide range of grade-point averages, from schools across Randolph County. Awards vary by scholarship.  Applications for all other scholars will be made available on Dec. 1, 2020, more information is available at randolphcountyfoundation.org/scholarships.  High school students applying for the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship in Randolph County should contact their school counselor for more details.
